Mass Schedule

Regarding the current COVID-19 Pandemic (Updated 4/11/2021):

We are back to Livestreaming our Masses and offering Communion on campus again! Here is the Youtube link for the livestream, which goes live at 4:00PM on Sunday, April 11th: https://youtu.be/7qltpJlJMO4 In addition to livestreaming on youtube, we will also be livestreaming on our IG page, @wakeforestcatholics
As always, here are the guidelines for receiving Communion below, and because we are  in Campus Operating Status Yellow, we ask that you are extra attentive to maintaining a distance of 6 feet from one another while receiving Communion:
-Communion will be available on the Patio of the Campus Ministry Offices in Kitchin Hall (directly across from the Sutton Center/Reynolds Gym), from 4:40PM – 5:10PM.
-Communion will be available from approximately 4:40PM – 5:10PM – because we want to make sure there is plenty of space for people to maintain a safe distance of 6 feet from one another, we encourage you to join us at some point within that 30 minute window of time – you do NOT have to arrive at 4:40PM on the dot in order to receive Communion.

– Please approach the Campus Ministry Patio by walking down the short stairway from the sidewalk, and keep your mask on until you are about to consume Communion.  Once Fr. Marcel has given you Communion, please step at least 6 feet away from him before you remove your mask to consume Communion.  Once you have received Communion, you may exit the Patio by following the handicap ramp leading back to the sidewalk.  We will have hand sanitizer available before you receive Communion.
– At this point, due to University policy relating to Campus Visitors (found here: https://ourwayforward.wfu.edu/policies/ ), we can only provide on-campus Communion for WFU Students, Faculty, and Staff who have a DeaconOne Card.  If you do not have a Wake Forest ID and would like to attend Mass, we encourage you to attend Mass at St. Leo’s, or any of the wonderful Winston Salem parishes.  St. Leo’s Mass schedule can be found here:  https://www.stleocatholic.org/

Because safety measures to address the pandemic are necessarily fluid and change regularly, we may need to make updates to our Mass schedule and availability as the situation evolves – as decisions are made, we will make sure to keep you informed here, on our calendar, and on our Instagram account (@wakeforestcatholics).  Additionally, you are welcome to email Liz (orrej@wfu.edu) to request being added to our email listserv, where we will also send out announcements about our events and Masses!

The Bishop of Charlotte has waived the obligation of the faithful to attend Sunday Mass until further notice.  Additionally, all public Masses where the anticipated attendance of the Mass is more than 100 people have been cancelled until further notice, in compliance with the Executive Order issued by NC Governor Roy Cooper on Saturday, March 14th, 2020.

Mass is celebrated every Sunday evening at 4PM and 8PM in Davis Chapel. Please join us! (during the academic year only)

Mass is also celebrated on Wednesdays at 12PM in Davis Chapel (during the academic year only).

Please consult the calendar for the most up to date information on cancellations or special Masses that diverge from our regular Mass schedule!

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available with Fr. Marcel every Sunday between 5PM and 7:30PM and every Wednesday between 1PM & 5:30PM and by appointment during the Academic Year (mid-August to mid-May).  Both Fr. Marcel and Liz are available for Spiritual Direction by appointment – visit the “Contact Us” page for how to get in touch with Fr. Marcel and Liz!
