The WFCC is proud to provide our community with a number of wonderful opportunities to explore, express, and engage with their Catholic Faith. Listed below are just a few of the wonderful opportunities you can get involved with:
Our incredible student leadership team provides one retreat each semester. The retreats are a wonderful time to get off campus, connect with friends on a deeper level, and explore your faith in a beautiful setting.
Small Faith Sharing Communities
Lead by pairs of our student leadership team, these small faith sharing communities come together regularly to share scripture, and the opportunity to integrate it into their lived experiences. We have a special 1st Year Faith sharing Community, an upperclass Faith Sharing Community, and cycles of Faith Sharing Communities based on issues of interest to our students. They are a lovely setting to dive deeper into your faith, and grow close to the people within your community.
Spring 2020 Small Faith Sharing Communities Schedule*:
First Year Small Group : Wednesdays at 5:15PM
Men’s Small Group: Thursdays at 7PM
Women’s Small Group: Thursdays at 8PM
Apologetic’s: Fridays at 3:30PM
*all Small Faith Sharing Communities meet in our Lounge in Collins Residence Hall!
Wednesday Night Community Dinner
Of course, one of our most popular and longstanding traditions, the WFCC provides a homecooked dinner every Wednesday night for anyone who would like to join us! 6:00PM in the Catholic Lounge in Collins – every Wednesday night! Come hungry, and bring your friends!
Join the WFCC Intramural Team – we play flag football in the fall, handball and basketball in the winter, and soccer and softball in the spring!
Weekend Social Outings
Our community is not only a wonderful place to express your faith, but a wonderful group of friends to adventure with! Our leadership team regularly plans weekend outings like hiking, apple and pumpkin picking, trivia nights, froyo trips and even axe throwing outings that are open to our entire community, and their friends.
The Diocese of Charlotte sponsors all kinds of events for college students at universities across the diocese. Eucharistic Congress College Night, Give Your Heart Away service weekend, Leadership Workshops, and retreats are offered throughout the academic year, giving our community the opportunity to meet peers from all across the state and celebrate our Catholic faith together.
Hit the Bricks, Project Pumpkin, Wake and Shake – all beloved Wake Forest Traditions that the Wake Forest Catholic Community take part in, so we can give back to the Winston-Salem community! Spend the day running around the quad or spend the night cutting up on the dancefloor to raise money for cancer research at Hit the Bricks and Wake and Shake, and provide a fun (and safe!) trick or treating experience for local kids at Project Pumpkin!
