Lenten Service

Lent is February 18 – April 2

Lent is a time to be more intentional about living out our Catholic faith, and the Church encourages us to mark the 40 days with prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Many people choose to give something up for Lent, but we’re also called to give. This Lent, we will be partnering with local organizations to provide students an opportunity to give back to those in our community.

We will be working with Salem Pregnancy Care Center (local crisis pregnancy center), the Ronald McDonald House (providing housing for families while their children are in the hospital), the SECU Family House (a ministry which gives families a place to stay while their loved ones are in hospice care), Second Harvest Food Bank (largest food pantry in Northwest NC), and Catholic Charities (working specifically with their food pantry and distribution ministry). Specific dates and service opportunities coming soon!
